House. C17, with fireplace dated 16 IB 86; right bay added late C18-C19;
C19 and C20 alterations. Timber frame with brick infill to rear and right
gable; front rebuilt in brick C19; left gable rendered. Old tile roof,
half-hipped to right; rebuilt brick chimney to rear of centre bay. 2
storeys, 3 bays. Paired wooden casements, renewed C20, 4 to upper storey.
Centre bay has C20 3-light metal casement. C20 brick porch with metal
casements and lean-to corrugated iron roof between right bays. Other
small lean-to extensions to rear. Flanking outbuildings are not of special
interest. Interior: wide centre bay has chamfered spine beam, staircase
in line with rear chimney, and central upper cross wall. Fireplace in
upper room has wood-grained plaster overmantel with date, small raised
ovals on main panel and pilasters, and large heavily moulded cornice.
