GV II

Public house. C17, part rebuilt. Timber frame with whitewashed brick
infill, part original, to first floor; ground floor and gables rebuilt
in whitewashed brick. Old tile roof, fine central chimney of whitewashed
brick with recessed panels and raised top. One storey and attic, 2 bays.
Early C20 3-light barred wooden casements, the upper windows in gabled
eaves-line dormers. Central flush-panelled door with small gabled hood
on shaped brackets. Left gable has board door with similar hood. Lower
bay with C20 window and board door to right; long single storey
whitewashed brick extension set back to left. Interior: right bay has
large painted stone fireplace with bolection moulding; stop-chamfered
spine beams.
