2 stone gateways of 1751 with round-headed archways, flanking tuscan pilasters
and pedimented entablatures. Wrought-iron gates with plain vertical bars
and scroll-work. The former wall between the gateways was removed in 1848
and replaced by railings with plain uprights and spiked cresting, similar
to the existing ones on either side. (RCHM).
