Built aa a rectory circa 1820 on the site of a Roman camp for the Hon. Rev. C. G.
Perceval for whose father the Church was built. 2 storey and attic. Yellow brick
with red brick parapet and wing to west.
Garden front: 1-3-1 windows, glazing bar sashes with flat arches, except for 3
light sashes on ground floor in slightly projecting bays with cambered heads. Glazed
doors left of centre. 2 dormers and 2 tall brick stacks. 3 course band over 1st
floor. Original leaf rain water pipe at corner of right hand bay.
West wing: substantial and set back. 2 storeys, 4 windows. Hipped slate roof.
Flat arches to glazing bar sashes. entrance to left of centre.
Entrance front: 2-3-2 windows, glazing bar sashes. End windows of lst floor blocked.
End window on left lower. Centre projects slightly. 3 course band over ground
floor. Central closed porch has incised pilasters and shallow pediment. 6 panel
door.
West wing breaks forward. 3 windows facing east and 4 facing north. Sash, windows
with cambered heads.
All references to Calverton Place shall be amended to read Calverton House.
