House. Early C18 alterations to earlier house. Altered. Chequer
brick on stone plinth, hipped old tile roof, central chimney, offset
eaves, 2 storeys and attic, 1st floor band, S. front has 3 bays, the centre
a C19 gabled projection with toothed brick verge, small attic sash, a 3-
pane sash window on the lst floor, door with modern Georgian surround and
wheel fanlight, outer bays with similar sash windows to 1st floor, C19
canted bays to ground floor. East and west roofslopes each have one
gabled dormer window, E. front has 1 bay of sash windows. Wing at back has
tiled wool and massive C16 timber framing with brick infilling. Wing
continued with rendered walls and slate roof. Interior: room to RH on
ground floor has C18 fireplace flanked by arched recesses with cupboards
under. LH room has large C16 stone fireplace with moulded jambs and arch
with cut spandrels.
