Road bridge over River Camel and flood plain. 1791. Built by Rev. William Sandys.
-Stone rubble with dressed stone pointed arches and moulded granite strings.
Bridge in medieval style; four pointed arches of 17 to 21 foot span with five cut
waters on each side. The stone rubble parapets are carried out over the cutwates to
form refuges. Parapets partly rebuilt in late C20.
The bridge was acclaimed by Henderson as the only Cornish post-Reformation bridge
worth visiting.
