Pavilion at Hall Barn
II
Remains of Colen Campbell's Great Room of 1724 altered after fire c1840. Stone. Projecting entrance with semicircular arch flanked by paired Roman Doric half columns. Entablature and parapet with balustrade across projecting front; room inside has shallow domed ceiling; to each side, one double-hung sash, glazing bars, framed by stepped stones, heavy flat stone arches, broken pediments. Inside round the base of the dome and fixed to the walls is a fine collection of old Dutch tiles.
