Built 1867 (date plaque on south-east front) for George Hanbury and designed by
T Roger Smith. Dark red brick with stone dressings. Gothic Revival style with
tourelle and bay windows. Three storeys. Tile roof. Single storeyed room
added at south end in 1914 (date on waterhead). Originally called Blythwood.
