Ancillary building of uncertain original purpose. Circa 1600. Timber framed,
weatherboarded and plastered with some exposed framing, roofed with handmade red
plain tiles. 4 bays aligned NW-SE. 2 storeys. Single-storey lean-to extension
with corrugated iron roof at NW end. NE elevation (towards street), all
plastered, without apertures. SW elevation, 3 plain boarded doors, 2 boarded
loading doors on upper storey; lower storey weatherboarded, upper storey
plastered with framing exposed. Jowled posts. Curved 'Suffolk' braces trenched
outside studding, with chisel-cut carpenters' marks. Original binding beams and
plain joists of vertical section in NE half, SW half originally unfloored.
Clasped purlin roof. RCHM 7.
