Chest Tomb, mid C19. Marble tomb with cast iron railings on stone
plinth. Chest has weathered top, projecting over sides. Clasping
pilasters at corners with trefoil head lancets on each face.
Between panels with arched tops, foliage in spandrels. Moulded
plinth on plain base. Railings have bars, alternate pairs linked
lancets below top rail, with octagonal finials above. Open, square
corner piers with central finials. To five of Henry Crawshay's
children, earliest died 1842, latest recorded 1863.
