Terrace of 12 cottages. 1872, for Robert Hunt and Co., Atlas Ironworks. Red
brick in Flemish bond with dressings of white brick, roofed with C20 grey
corrugated tiles. 2 storeys. 12-window range of original sashes of 16 lights,
many with original glass, with segmental arches. Paired plain doors with
segmental arches. The quoins and all window and door apertures are dressed with
contrasting white bricks. Central plaque inscribed 'Hibernia Cottages 1872'.
This terrace is a rare survival in Essex.
