House and shops. Early C19. Painted brick (probably gault) in Flemish bond,
roofed with slate. Almost rectangular block facing NW, with one internal stack
at left end and one axial stack to left of centre, both of gault brick.
2-storey wing to rear. 3 storeys. Ground floor, 2 early C19 shopfronts under
joint fascia extending across the full elevation. The smaller shop at the left
has a window of 3 lights, and to left of it a flush 5-panel door with plain
overlight, panelled jambs and soffit. The larger shop has 2 windows each of 4
lights and a splayed central entrance with double glazed doors and plain
overlight. 6 simple pilasters. Moulded cornice above fascia with band of
egg-and-dart carving. First floor, 5 original sashes of 12 lights with crown
glass and shallow segmental-flat arches; second floor, 5 similar sashes of more
squat proportion. Hipped roof of shallow pitch with long overhanging eaves.
