House. C16 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber framed
and plastered with panel pargetting. Red plain tiled roofs. 2 red brick
chimney stacks. 2 builds to front range and wing to rear left. The left front
range jettied with carved bracket to left. 2 storeys. 2 window range of 2
or 3 light leaded casements with drip hoods, some with original frames and
ironmongery. Vertically boarded door with canopy and brackets and single range
of matching windows to right return, Said to contain original doorway with 4
centred arch under a square head, moulded jambs, carved leaf and mullet to
spandrels, arched braces to tie beams. RCHM 34.
