8/157 Gatewoods Farmhouse

GV II

House. C17 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber framed and
plastered. Red plain tiled roofs. 2 red brick chimney stacks to left forward
gabled wing, one of which has attached diagonal shafts, external right stack to
right of main range. Single storey left range, 2 storey right range. 1:2
window range of vari-light leaded casements. C20 gabled porch to left of main
range with panelled door. Stable door to left range. Tusk tenon to this range,
exposed frame to gable end. RCHM 80 (Felsted).
