C15 hall with cross wings. Timber-framed and plastered, with some brick cladding.
Hall roof raised in C16 with inserted floor. 2 storeys, roofs tiled. Upper
storey of cross wings project and are gabled. Extensively altered in C18 and
C19. Double hung sash windows with glazing bars, and central 2 storeyed bay
window with semi-hexagonal roof. Very fine bargeboards of circa 1600, carved
with vine motif. Bases of apex finials are of similar date but eaves pendants
are modern. There is a jettied wing at rear. Internally much of the original
frame remains with crown post roofs. (RCHM 16).
