2 houses. Probably early C18 with later alterations. Stone rubble with
slobbered mortar, slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 irregular bays. 1st bay has lean-
to porch attached to Crown and Mitre public house (qv). Ground floor has sashed
window with vertical glazing bars to 1st bays; 3rd bay has 2-light single-
chamfered-mullioned window with small-paned glazing; and tall light to right;
5th bay has sashed window with single glazing bars in chamfered reveals,
originally with flat-faced mullion; small-paned window to right. 1st floor has
sashed window with single glazing bars to 1st bay; 2nd bay has horizontally
sliding sash. 3rd, 4th and 5th bays have originally 2-light single-chamfered-
mullioned windows, that to 3rd and 5th bays with lowered sills and sashes with
single glazing bars; that to 4th bay with horizontally sliding sash. Entrance
to 4th bay has lintel with panel reading: 'W & MS/1719' with flanking spirals;
half-glazed door. Gable-end stack and 2 cross-axial stacks, one squat.
