II
Farmhouse and hand's cottage, now one house. Mid C18. Coursed squared
sandstone front, other elevations rubble, with quoins and ashlar dressings;
pantiled roof, the front slope renewed in concrete tiles, with brick chimneys.
2 storeys, 4 wide bays. Plain stone surround to low partly-glazed door in
second bay; thin stone lintels and shallow reveals to windows, most late C19
sashes, 2 with C20 glazing. Steeply-pitched roof has 4 ridge chimneys. Rear
has full width one-storey outshut under catslide roof, and gabled dormers.
Interior has lugged moulded chimney piece in one first-floor room; 2-panel
doors; stone stair in first-bay cottage.
