Stable block. Rear wing early C18, main range late C18. Rear wing squared
stone on south and east, and rubble to west; cut quoins and dressings. Main
range has squared stone front and rubble rear; tooled ashlar quoins and
dressings. Graduated Lakeland slate roofs, except for stone slates on pent
additions to rear. T-plan.

North elevation 2 storeys, 8 bays, with slightly-projecting 2-bay pedimented
centre; and single-storey end bays. Centre has round arches in rusticated
surrounds holding flush-panelled double doors; 6-pane sashes in architraves
above and clock in pediment. Small wooden ridge bellcote with pyramidal
roof. Flanking parts have central panelled double doors and 3-pane fanlights,
between 15-pane sashes, all under round arches; 6-pane sashes above. All
openings in architraves. Moulded eaves cornice, hip-ended roofs. Attached
6-step mounting block near door in right part. End bays have circular radial
windows in moulded surrounds; eaves bands, hip-ended roofs. Left return shows
4-panel door in raised stone surround.

Rear elevation: Central gable end of wing has rusticated quoins and stone
stair to boarded door in architrave; three 12-pane sashes in architraves on
right return. Set back to left a pent cartshed with 4-bay arcade of round
piers with block capitals carrying timber lintels; to right a pent outbuilding
with boarded doors.
