Bridge. Circa 1830 for London Lead Company; road engineer J.L. McAdam. Thin
courses of squared rubble with millstone grit ashlar dressings. High segmental
arch, with voussoirs recessed in pecked surround, under band at road bed level
continuing around pyramid-coped piers at ends of parapets with low-curved
copings. Pilasters support piers. Partly in the parish of Newbiggin.
