Pedestal monument to Timothy Hackworth, the railway engineer. 1850. Sandstone
with white marble tablet. Square-plan monument in Greek revival style. Low
stepped plinth with cyma-moulded top. Battered pedestal with marble tablet on
east face. Wider cap, with central pediments and large antefixae to each face,
supports a draped urn. Tablet inscribed: IN AFFECTIONATE REMEMBRANCE OF TIMOTHY
HACKWORTH, WHO DIED JULY 7TH. 1850, AGED 63 YEARS.
