Early C19, ashlar. A charming little front which must have been most attractive
when new. It is quite unlike anything else in Darlington execpt, perhaps, Harewood
Grove. Two storeys, the lower one with channelled beds; 5 windows, the lower ones
arched; very delicate pilasters at corners with carved caps and a wall-head entablature;
doorway in centre has a porch of 2 detached Greek Ionic columns carrying an entablature
whose frieze is carved with Greek ornament.
