C18 and early C19 rebuilding, incorporating considerable portions of older
structures (including apparently mediaeval masonry). Rubble with Cotswold
stone roof. In 2 parts, left hand pad 2 and a half (or one and a half)
storeys: 3 gabled dormers, 2+3 windows (casements) in partly blocked openings,
wooden lintels (common to right hand 3 windows), 2 single-light chamfered
windows on ground floor. Plain arch to left of centre. This part is
entered from road level into gable. Right hand part probably mid C19:
5 windows, alternate 2 and 3 light segment headed casements. Arched mill
entry for water to right. Two mill streams, 2 wheels. The eastern wheel
predates 1820, it has wood spokes and was later adopted to drive a pit
saw. To rear a 2 storey extension with plain mullion windows.
The west wall, with a spring head in it below the road, is said to incorporate
C15 masonry.
