Farmhouse. Dated, over door, 1665, and "Peter Whefen". Rubble stone walls, stone
slate roof, stone end stacks. One storey and attics. Gabled stone porch. Inner
doorway with depressed 4-centred arch. Ground floor has two 3-light stone mullioned
windows with casements. Attic has 2 pent-roofed dormers also with stone mullioned
windows with casements. At right end, a lower extension in matching construction,
has ledged door. Interior not accessible but appears largely unaltered. A National
Trust property. (RCHM, Monument 161. Dorset. Vol. II).
