Pair of cottages. Original section - No. 64 and part of No. 66, early C18.
Rest of No. 66 late C18 - early C19. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roofs,
brick end and centre stacks. Part one storey and attic, part 2 storeys and
attic. No. 64 has projecting 2-storeyed porch - the upper walls of brick, with
brick stack in front left corner. Blocked doorway in this, under segmental
arch. Right of the porch a ledged door. Ground and first floors each have one
casement with glazing bars. No. 66 has ledged door. Ground floor has 2 casements
with glazing bars. One similar casement on first floor. Attic has 2 gabled dormers
with similar casements. Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace
with cambered timber lintol. Some exposed ceiling beams. (RCHM, Monument 74.
