Probably C18. Formerly 2 houses. Northern section, facing Cornmarket has 3 storeys.
Ground storey rendered, upper storeys brick, colourwashed. Tiled roof. Brick stacks,
colourwashed. Plat band at first floor level; moulded plat band at second floor level.
Ground floor has 6-panel raised panel door, in a good classical surround, with fret
decoration to frieze, and ogee-shaped hood on carved console brackets. North of this
is a canted-bay window, with glazing bars, probably a later insertion. First and
second floors each have 2 double-hung sash windows - glazing bars survive in the
upper sashes. Southern section, of 2 storeys, has gable end facing Cornmarket.
Ground floor has a canted shop window with glazing bars, - probably C19. First floor
has 2 double-hung sash windows with arched heads. Elevation to Cook Row has 2 modern
doors on ground floor. RCHM Monument 45.
