7/69 The Lodge

Lodge, at entrance to Warmwell House. Mid C19. Coursed and dressed stone
walls. Stone slate roof with stone gable copings to front and rear, and
moulded kneelers. Tall octagonal brick stacks on east wall at eaves
and in valley between porch and main roof. 1½ storeys. Ground floor
has a canted bay window, 3 light stone mullions, with one on each of the
returns. Cast iron casements with lozenge pattern of lights. Stone
slate roof to bay window. 2 light mullion window over with separate
returned label. Gabled porch attached on west side has a doorway with
chamfered jambs and 3 centred head. Plank door. Carved stone coat-of-arms
over. East side wall has two 2 light stone mullion windows, cast iron
casements.
