Farmhouse. C17 with C19 alterations. Rubble walls with stone quoins.
Corrugated-iron and slate roof with stone-coped gables. Brick stacks, one
at each gable and one centrally. Longhouse plan with rear extension at East
end creating double depth there. Two storeys. Five window range. Two
stone-mullioned, with cavettos and labels. Some iron frames with leaded
panes. Rest, wooden casements. Right end has half-dormers with barge boards
and slate roofs. One very small lancet window, lighting fireplace. Interior.
Wide cross-passage. Deep-chamfered beams, some with filletted stops. Recessed
window-shutters. Attached Cider House with rubble walls, stone quoins with
a stone pier. Attached stables with loft over with rubble walls, brick quoins,
tile roof. Square windows with wooden frames. Source: R.C.H.M. Dorset I,
