House. C18. Red and blue brick, hipped old tile roof, chimneys at eaves
level on N. side. Wood eaves cornice. 2-storeys, inset wooden first
floor band. (cf. Bailiffs House, Hartwell). U shaped plan with wings to
N. S. elevation has 4 bays, ½ glazed door in 2nd bay from LH, flanked by
C19 tiled roofed canted bay windows. 3-light leaded upper casements and to
RH of ground floor, those above door and in RH bay are blank or blocked.
Flat gauged brick arches. E. and W. elevations 2 bays, similar windows,
some blank or blocked, wooden floorband continues round N. elevation which
has projecting I-bay wings and recessed centre with full height semicircular
bow with moulded brick cornice, 3-light leaded upper casement. 'Sun'
Insurance plate; later slate roofed porch to ground floor.
