House. Late C18 red and blue vitreous bricks with red brick dressings.
Slate roof, with overhanging eaves and panelled soffit. Flanking
chimneys. Moulded brick cornice and red brick string over upper
windows and below former parapet. 2-storeys, five bays of sash windows
in reveals with gauged brick segmental arches. Central door, now
half glazed, in panelled reveal and wood doorcase housing architrave and
outer frame with carved scroll brackets and flat moulded hood. Flight
of stone-steps with iron balustrade each side. 2-storey wing to LH
brick; with hipped slate roof. 2 bays of sash windows. 1-storey wing to
RH, brick with hipped slate roof, 5 bays of sash windows. North elevation
similar with 8-fielded panel central door in frame with architrave,
panelled pilasters, carved scroll brackets and cornice hood. Modern
garage wing at right angles to RH.
