House. C17, altered C18. Timber-framed with plaster infill on north
east wing and north gable. Remainder roughcast over. South west wing
rubblestone, also colourwashed and roughcast. Old tile roofs. 2 storey
south west wing with attic, remainder 1½ storeys. North-south range
of 3 bays with 2 bay south west wing and one bay north east wing, forming
square 'Z' plan. North-south range has small windows to gable elevation
and C17 stack. West return has entry in tiled roofed porch. 3-light
leaded window to left and hipped eaves dormer above. Late C17 plaster
quoins and eaves. North east wing has door, leaded casements and
central 3-light swept eaves dormer and gable stack. Timber framing
exposed to rear. South west wing late C17 has 3-light leaded first
floor casement with C17 plaster quoins. 2-light gabled dormer. Stack
at left. Projecting stone stack at right with 2 brick diamond flues.
Interior: North stack has chamfered fireplace lintel with brick jambs
and newel stairs at left. Chamfered spine beams. South west wing
right hand fireplace has chamfered lintel on stone jambs. Spine beam
with moulded chamfer stops.
