Road bridge 1763 designed by Thomas Pitt, first Lord Camelford (Colvin)
Engineer, Reverend Humphrey Gainsborough, brother of Thomas Gainsborough.
Carrying the Henley-Wargrave road, a single arch of cyclopian blocks
in imitation of rockwork through which can be seen the River Thomas.
The rockwork of the bridge and approach walls is said to have come from
Reading Abbey. Built for General Conway of Park Place.
