Cottage. Late C15 altered C18, extended C20. Rendered and painted brick
over timber frame. Old tile hipped roof. C20 hipped dormer with leaded
casements and cheeks, rooflight, one chimney on ridge, one to south
breaking through roof at eaves level. 2 storeys and attic. Entrance front:
C18 Yorkshire sashes with small panes on left upper floor with two other
C19 2-light casements with similar panes on right. Ground floor 2 angular
bays with 3 and 2-light ended casements left and right, and hipped old tile
roofs on either side of C20 entrance door under tiled gabled porch, C20
iron 2-light casement on left. Road front: early C20 angular bay whole
height with leaded casements false timber work and pebbled dashed infill
painted. Interior : much of the timber frame exposed, large timbers, jowl
posts and queen strut roof with redundant crown post. C20 extension at
rear.
