Hall house, now large house. Early C16, altered C17, extended C19 and
C20. Timber frame encased in brick, old tile gabled roof. L-plan, 4
framed bays with one bay hall on west outshut at rear and large C20
gabled extension to left of this with false timbering. 2 storeys. A
C17 chimney on south wall and similar chimney on east gable. South front:-
3 bays C20 leaded casements, those on ground floor with segmental brick
arches; gabled entrance porch with ledged entrance door and flanking
pointed arched leaded lights, to left of centre. Interior:- timber frame
exposed, chamfered beams with run out stops. 2 large fireplaces.
Queen post roof trusses, the rafters sooted over hall bay. The C20
extensions are not of special interest. The house is shown as Watmore
Farm on the Ordnance Survey Map.
