House. C17, altered. Timber frame with whitewashed brick infill to far
gable and front, remainder rebuilt or encased in whitewashed brick. Near
bay has exposed curved tension braces and ends of joists. Old tile roof,
hipped over near bay, brick chimney between near bays. 2 storeys,
3 bays at right-angles to street. Irregular C20 barred wooden casements,
traces of an old blocked mullion window to first floor in line with chimney.
Gabled projection to centre of range, forming T-plan, is probably C18,
altered C20, with similar casements and 6-panelled door with pedimented
hood on slender cast iron shafts.
