3 early C19 houses forming a symmetrical group, 3 storeys and basement, London
stock brick, small modillioned Portland stone cornice and blocking course over
2nd floor windows, slate roof. No 9 has 4 windows on upper floors, 3 windows
on ground floor and tall 6-panelled flush door to left hand of centre. The
door has a rectangular moulded wooden panel at its head and a semi-circular,
radiating and concentric fanlight, all under an Ionic portico consisting of
2 columns, 2 pilasters, entablature and pediment at the top of 5 moulded stone
steps. There are 3 windows in the basement and the areas have light geometrical
cast-iron railings. There is a slightly later storey extension at the back
on the left with similar cornice in windows on each floor. Yard wall to left
hand with brick arcading has been demolished.
Nos 10 and 11 are of similar materials and design but 3 bays wide. No 10 is
flanked by 2 cast lead rainwater head and pipes with small lion masks on heads.
No lO has no glazing bars in the ground floor windows and the steps have been
tiled with chequered black and white tiles. Each house has 3 windows on the
upper floors, 2 window on the ground floor and a 6-panelled door to left hand
in brick arched recess. The door and fanlight of No 11 is similar to that of
No 9 that of No 10 differs only in the panels which have raised mouldings.
The 3 houses have a small stone kerb to the pavement, No 9 has its original
cast iron railing, alternating turned balusters and pierced balusters, every
12th rail is twisted. No 10 has mid C19 cast iron railings and those of No
11 have been removed.

Cambridge Lodge, Cambridge Gate and Park Street Gate form a group.
