Large house, in landscaped surrounds. Early C18, extended C19 and c1920. Painted render,
old tile hipped and gabled roof. Rectangular plan with extension on north and east. 2 storeys
and attic. Ridge chimney to right of centre. Projecting plinth, raised quoins, first-floor
string, dentilled and moulded cornice, plain parapet. Sash windows with glazing bars.
Garden (south) front: 3 small roof dormers. 4 bays. French casement door on left.
Glazed 2-leaf garden doors on right of these in glazed gabled porch with steeply-pitched
roof. East end: 3 bays; 2 side bays splayed to form a full-height canted bay. Entrance
door on north side in one-storey flat-roofed extension. Interior: hall has contemporary
panelling and fireplace; decorated plaster ceiling, enriched with swags and floral ornament.
Sitting room has fireplace with eared architrave and bead and reel enrichment, inset marble
surround and moulded overmantel shelf with leaf and rose ornament. Between sitting room
and the hall is a powder cupboard with a niche and scalloped shelving. A good framed
newel staircase with turned balusters, moulded handrail, turned newels, and panelled soffit.
