Cottage, now house. C15, altered and extended mid C17, C19 and C20. Part
timber frame with painted brick infill, part brick, some flint at ground level.
Old tile gabled roof. T-plan; originally 2x2 framed bays, extended on east and
north, now irregular. 2 storeys and attics. 3 chimneys, one on ridge, one on
each end with square bases and 2 coupled diagonal shafts with moulded offset
heads. C20 leaded casement windows, many in original openings, with hoodmoulds.
Brick and flint plinth with old window openings breaking into it in part.
First-floor string. Rear (south) front: 4 gables, each one bay. Left hand
gable oldest with thin bricks and one 2-light window in attic, one 4-light
window first floor and ground floor. Centre section; small gable with one
3-light window on first floor, part glazed, leaded plank C20 garden door with
hood mould. Right hand section late C19 or early C20; 2 gables in similar
style. Further extension to right of this, well set back. Entrance (north)
front: irregular. Centre section exposed timber frame with one 3-light window
first floor and one 4-light window ground floor; brick section on right with
one 2-light window first floor, one small window and plain C20 entrance door on
right on ground floor. Gable on right, C20 2-light window on first floor, 2
smaller but similar windows on ground floor. Left hand section projecting with
low eaves, hipped roof dormer with 2-light window splayed return to centre
section with one 3-light and 2 one-light windows on front face.
