Dated 1718, with slightly later extension to south. 2 storeys and attic,
3 windows. Large red tile roof, which drops to low eaves at rear, south part
has 2 lower gables at sides. Red brickwork in Flemish bond, blue headers to
main part: north gable has at its top JP 1718 marked in blue headers. 1st floor
bands and 2nd floor band in north gable, cambered openings to ground floor, some
blocked early openings. Casements. Solid frame to door of Spindles, canopy
to New Cottage. Interior is full of beams and joists, and the premises are
curiously divided in plan and section.
