The Forge

Late C16, and late C18, altered C19. Part timber framed with brick infill,
part rendered brick; old tile roof hipped at front, gabled at rear. T-plan,
C18 part at front, 2 framed C16 bays at rear with outshot. 2 storeys and
1½ storeys. Chimney at left. 3 bay front of C19 small 2-light casements,
the centre one blocked, planked entrance door on ground floor under plain
flat hood on cut brackets with similar casement on either side. Interior
has timber frame visible at rear, the beams chamfered with stopped ends
on the ground floor.
