Known locally as a "Gloucestershire Stile". Probably late-C19. The one
on north side of road is a very good example of this type. A large wide
stone slab with rounded hole in centre of lower part for dogs and flanking
steps. Approached by 4 stone steps. About 5 ft 6 ins high to south and
about 3 ft high to north. Flanking rubble field walls.
About 30 yds to south-east is a less elaborate stile of the same kind.
The main slab is cracked; battered jambs in rubble field walls. Approached
by one step.
