Circa 1710, incorporating earlier structure. 'L'-plan. Painted rubble
to east, very large sandstone corner-stone to south-west pantile roofs,
coped verges and moulded footstones. Two storeys and gable-lit attics.
Two windows, 3-light casements with moulded stone mullions and dripmoulds.
Central edge-roll doorway with 2-light moulded mullion window over, 6
panel door. Later cottage extension to right, 2 storeys, shallower eaves
stone ball finial to north gable. Two windows per floor, glazing bar
sashes in exposed moulded frames. Plain door to right. Return to south
has 2 windows, 2-light moulded mullion type (long mullion on ground floor
which has extra window in gable-end of main range). Central edge-roll
doorway with bracketted moulded flat hood. Garret window of main part
has flat mullion with edge-roll and a dripmould. Interior: C19 country
pub fittings removed to reveal bare stone walls. Large fireplace in south-east
room with cambered lintel. At least 2 beams on ground floor with plain
raised stops to chamfers.
