Late C18/early C19. The best of the local direction signs. Painted ashlar
blocks on curving dwarf wall. Wedge shaped taller central block, either
side of which is inscribed "To Bath" with a pointing hand. The long side
blocks have chamfered tops. The left hand one inscribed "To Bristol through
Hanham" with pointing hand (now the A431); the right hand one inscribed
"To Oldland, Siston, Mangotsfield and French" with pointing hand [now
the B4427 (A4175)].
