C16 timber-framed houses refronted in C18. 3 storeys, mainly painted brick
but with some pebble dash. No 50 has a gable front. Renovated tiled roof.
Part moulded bressumer with vine motif and carved console brackets. 1 window
to each with 1st floor bays and modern shop fronts. No 49 has a side elevation
which is part tile-hung.

Nos 49 to 60 (consec), Methodist Church and forecourt to Methodist Church
form a group.
