House, now 2 dwellings. Later C17. Timber framed with thatched
roof. Two storeys and attic, 3 bays, with single storey extension
to north. Framing on brick sill with posts set on sarsens. Three
panels high to each floor, the first floor jettied both sides with
carved brackets, few missing. Two room plan with central stack in
narrower third bay. Entrance at rear replacing front entrances,
the original position unclear. Refurbished c1965 with new casement
windows with top lights. Two-light small dormer to attic. Roof
half-hipped. Internally, room to north has fine jewelled stop
chamfered spine beam. Large timber fire beams in chalkstone stack,
now faced with brick. South bay a separate dwelling with added
bathroom.
