Hotel. Mid C19 ashlar, slate roof. Three storeys with basement, three bays plus corner bay on left. Rusticated basement, moulded cill bands, central raised panel. Paired sashes to basement. Steps with twisted iron balusters up to central four-panel door under fanlight in round-arched, quoined architrave with imposts, bulls-head keystone and flanked by Tuscan pilasters supporting entablature with dentil cornice. Above door is a sash in architrave with triangular pediment on consoles, and to second floor paired round-arched sashes with bracketed cill and hoodmould. Other bays have paired sashes with bracketed cills breaking cill bands. Corner bay has basement windows shouldered-arched, canted bay window with cornice and blocking course to ground floor, a sash with console cornice to first floor, and paired round-arch sashes with hoodmoulds to second floor. Moulded cornice breaking forward over central bay; blocking course. Brick end stacks. Included for group value.
