Old Meads, Little Meads and Ash House

Vicarage, now three houses. C15 or early C16 with C19 additions. Timber-framed core, faced to rear with grey bricks in header bond with red brick chainage and dressings and dentilled cornice, and to left side in red brick. Early to mid C19 addition to front of red brick in Flemish bond with occasional grey headers and mid C19 addition to right in red brick with grey brick diaper work, all with plain tile roofs.
Timber-framed range with short rear wing forming T plan. Early C19 range to front forming double depth plan. Mid C19 addition to right end with short gabled front wing halfway across it. Later C19 addition with two gables to centre of front elevation, overlapping both previous C19 additions. Two storeys. Mid C19 gable to right with plain bargeboards, projecting painted purlins, and buttress. Roof of mid C19 range higher than rest. Projecting brick stack with small inset panel and diagonal flue with fillet to left end of front elevation. Large projecting shouldered stack to left side of rear timber-framed wing, pebble-dashed, but probably C16. Two diagonal red brick flues to centre of main timber-framed range, and two in gully between gables of double-gabled front addition. Brick ridge stack to right end of mid C19 addition. Irregular fenestration of one glazing-bar sash with segmental head to left later C19 gabled projection, two two-light casements to right gabled projection.
Mid C19 front wing has first-floor window of two cinquefoil-headed lights and two ground floor windows of single cinquefoiled lights under continuous hood-mould. One two-light casement in gabled through dormer to left end of mid C19 addition. Half-glazed and panelled doors to Old Meads and Little Meads (that to Old Meads original) in double-gabled projection under C20 flat-topped open porches, that to Old Meads, to left, with columns, that to Little Meads bracketted. Door to Ash House in right side elevation of front wing. Single storey flat-roofed extension to left of front elevation and small single-storey addition to right end.
Interior: C19 features, some idiosyncratic. Not fully inspected.
