Late C18 modernised. Two and a half storeys, painted rubble. Pantile
roof, hipped to left. Well chimney to front left hand side. Three dormers.
Three windows, one central angled bay on first floor on bracketted platform.
Door on 1st floor to left reached by dog leg steps. Lean-to across centre
of ground floor (formerly for second turbine). Irregular fenestration
on ground floor to left. Large segment-headed door to right. Further
building attached to right on site of original mill. Small undershot wheel
to rear on right hand side. Tunnel race to river. This mill is the best
surviving on the River Frome in this area, (there were 8 between here
and Wickham Weir alone). It may retain part of the mediaeval corn mill
in its structure. In 1798 it became an iron mill.
