Circa 1800 and later with alterations. A group comprising barn, coach
house, coachman's house, yard and riding circle, formerly associated with
Cleeve House (demolished). All built in pennant stone rubble with slate
roofs.
The barn, main part is 'T'-shaped with projecting gable above wide segmental
arch, the gable has a further gabled section at apex for hoist, recessed
flanking oculi and screen walls. Interior has arched entry to main part.
Vent-slits.
The coach house forms a 'L' plan extension to right of barn: 2 segmental
headed coach entries, staff accommodation on first floor, tack room at
angle with barn.
The house has been remodelled in the mid-late C19 and is roughcast. Two
storeys, 3 windows, modern (one to right with glazing bars) 2 bays on ground
floor flanking door with radiating fanlights.
The Riding Circle is of considerable interest. It is an hexagaonal structure
to the outside with angle piers, plinth and eaves band. The central lantern
now gone. Three doors, 2 in pointed arches with original studded doors,
the other leads into the house. One window above south door. The interior
is circular, a single space about 40 ft across with a good roof structure.
