House. late C16 or early C17 Coursed rubblestone. Old tile roofs.
2 storeys and gabled attics. North and south ranges linked by one bay
east and west wings, north range centre bay omitted and thus house
forms open courtyard. East front double gabled with central doorway
behind C19 gabled porch. 2 storey flat roofed bay windows to outer bays,
leaded casements, 2 2-light over door, 3 and 2 light to attics and single
light to right gable bay. Bay windows have dentil eaves. South front,
facing road has 3 bays of C19 sashes and canted bay window to right hand
ground floor bay. West front also has 2 gables. Stone coped gables on
kneelers. Chimney stacks between bays, including one on south front with
stone base and two diagonal brick shafts. Interior has late C16 or early C17
staircase with flat carved balusters and plain handrail. RCHM 11 261 MON.6
