House. now subdivided. C17, altered C18 and C19. No 47 Part
timber framed, remainder coursed rubblestone. Slate roofs. 4 bays
now divided into 2 2-bay houses, 2 storeys. No 49 left hand
door under a slated hood, 3 light casement, first floor has
2 2-light casements. One dormer gable elevation to road has
right hand door and modern porch 2-light casements and a gable
stack. No 47 has central door behind rustic porch. 3 light
casements. East gable and rear is rendered over timber-framing
of C17. At junction of Nos 47 and 49 is early C17 brick stack
with moulded plinth and plain square flue. Inside No 49 is
chamfered fireplace lintel, partly cut, and inside No 47 is
chamfered and stopped spine beams and fielded panelled hallway
of early C19. This house with its timber framing of 17th century
date is a rare survival in this part of Buckinghamshire.
